Hover on an experience!

Hey! I'm Arnav, a full-stack engineer and grad student at SJSU, pursuing
a Master's in Computer Science. I spent two years at PayPal building
tools to support fraud detection, automated underwriting using GenAI,
and prior to that, I worked on automating infrastructure provisioning
for ETL pipelines at Hevo Data. I have also built and shipped multiple
cross-platform apps and websites as a founding engineer for several
startups during my undergraduate studies.
Recently, I have been obsessed with hackathons, something about ideating
and building to compete in 24 hours is addictive. It almost models the competition
that happens on a large scale in tech. My recent wins include Cal Hacks 12.0,
Solana Renaissance, HackNight at GitHub, HackwithBay at Microsoft, Future
of Agents Hackathon, Hack for Social Impact, Top 6 at Google's Gemini Hackathon
for TED AI, the YCombinator hackathon, MLH Hackathon with Digital Ocean,
and more!
Outside of coding, I believe some skills get unlocked when you walk the line
between order and chaos. I've been dipping my feet into rock climbing, surfing,
learning guitar (even performing solo on stage), skateboarding, and, honestly,
anything that pushes me out of my comfort zone. These experiences have taught
me resilience and adaptability in ways that sitting behind a screen never
could. When I'm not building something or trying not to fall off my skateboard,
you'll find me working on side projects or exploring new AI tools. Always
down to chat about full-stack development, AI applications, or swap stories
about learning something completely new!
